Rabbit
Rabbit was the true "wise old man" of our sanctuary, a gentle soul whose presence defined the very spirit of Brown Hiking Trails. With us for over 22 incredible years, he was here long before any of our other animals, serving as the calm, steady heartbeat of our home. He possessed an amazing, welcoming spirit, effortlessly befriending every new creature that arrived at the sanctuary. Whether he was greeting a new rescue or simply overseeing the daily bustle of the farm, Rabbit's kind nature made everyone feel instantly at home. He is perhaps best remembered for the legendary trio he formed with our beloved deer, Buttons, and our original Golden Retriever, G-bro. They were inseparable; you could find them spending long, peaceful days sunning together in the yard, with Rabbit often tucked snugly against either of his best friends. He and Buttons shared a bond so close they even ate from the same bowl, a quiet daily testament to a friendship that transcended species. Rabbit taught us everything we know about harmony and trust, and while he is deeply missed, his wise and gentle legacy lives on in every new friendship formed in these woods.
